I was honored to speak at the launch party for the fourth edition of Elevate Magazine, where I shared my personal journey as a survivor of domestic violence, a single mom, and a first-generation student at Boston University. In my featured piece, I reflected on the challenges I’ve overcome and the strength I’ve found in pursuing higher education. It was an emotional and humbling experience to speak about my story and connect with others who are passionate about overcoming adversity and elevating voices that often go unheard.

In this guest lecture, I provided valuable insights to current paralegal students on the transition from academics to professional work in the legal field. I shared how the knowledge and skills I gained from my paralegal education continue to inform my career despite not practicing as a paralegal. I highlighted the broader applications of legal education in various roles, offering students a perspective on how they can leverage their training in diverse legal-related careers.
